EO3 secures France 2030 backing for low-carbon ship

EO3, Energy Observer's future laboratory vessel, is one of six projects selected under the CORIMER “Navire Bas-Carbone” (Low-Carbon Ship) call for projects, part of the France 2030 investment plan. The selection opens the ship's construction phase, due to begin in 2027.

State backing for a new kind of low-carbon ship

Run by CORIMER as part of France 2030, the call aims to speed up the decarbonisation of French shipping. It supports vessels designed to cut greenhouse gas emissions significantly. For Energy Observer, the selection provides the backing needed to start building EO3 and developing its energy system.
