The Exhibition

At each stopover, Energy Observer plays host to the public around the challenges of energy and ecological transition through its travelling exhibition. Free to access, this immersive and interactive exhibition is a unique opportunity to plunge into the heart of the project, to learn, understand and share the various energies. This venue for meetings and exchanges has already welcomed nearly 300,000 visitors in the past 3 years.

Raising awareness among a wide audience

In 2020, the Energy Observer travelling exhibition has been given a facelift. Now equipped with containers, in addition to its two domes, the exhibition unveiled a new path and an immersive experience for the general public.

These containers, in partnership with the CMA CGM, have been transformed into a circular economy dynamism. This allows for the display of Energy Observer's educational content, but also for the transportation of all the geodesic domes and exhibit materials.

We are eager to minimise our ecological impact as much as possible and make the village self-sufficient, fuelled by the same energy mix as on the boat.

Our aim: to bring the Energy Observer experience to the public audience in a lively and immersive manner, to show that the development of renewable energies, green hydrogen and smart-grid computer systems are a favourable response to the climate emergency, to welcome the teaching profession, the institutions and our partners in order to create events that push the boundaries.

This exhibition unveils a timeline designed with the support and expertise of Ademe, retracing the history of energy transition, ecological awareness and the Energy Observer laboratory. Both immersive and educational, it houses monumental screenings together with special screens enabling the showcasing of all the different technologies aboard the laboratory vessel, their applications both at sea and on land, as well as the pioneering solutions encountered around the world through the prism of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for which Energy Observer is the primary French ambassador.
