In 2022, GUYOT environnement embarks on the Energy Observer adventure, becoming The Official "Circular Economy" Partner.

Innovative player in recycling and committed to the energy transition, GUYOT environnement partners with Energy Observer on their Research and Development projects, advocating for the circular economy and for the decarbonisation of transport. With the long-term ambition for GUYOT environnement to decarbonise its maritime transport, as it does with its road transport.

For forty years, GUYOT environnement has positioned the environment at the core of its strategy, making every effort to provide alternative solutions to the use of fossil fuels. It transforms non-recyclable waste into fuel and will produce tomorrow the energy to be autonomous. Energy autonomy is a key objective for Energy Observer: to consume only what you can produce, to achieve maximum efficiency and thus gain your energy independence.

Already invested in the "zero emission" objective with its trucks, GUYOT environnement wishes to be strongly involved in Energy Observer's new project, which aims at developing solutions to decarbonise maritime transport. GUYOT environnement brings its support, particularly in the Research and Development of the construction of this cargo until 2024 and commits to the green hydrogen sector on one of the group's sites.

“With the waste collected, we still have the potential and the ability to create other energy unit projects, especially to manufacture green electricity and therefore renewable hydrogen. It is a craft that we must learn, and we still need to increase the skills of our teams. Therefore, we will benefit from the network of specialists around Energy Observer to study the production of green hydrogen on one of our sites, with the ultimate objective to contribute to heavy carbon-free mobility, including maritime mobility. And why not imagine an intra-European shipping line from Brest, with locally-produced energy!”
