Cherbourg, France
Energy Observer was in Cherbourg from August 26 to September 3rd, its third stopover of its Odyssey for the Future.
Coming from: Boulogne sur Mer, France
Time of arrival: 10:30 AM
After a first stop and christening in Paris, a second in Boulogne-sur-Mer and a technical stopover in Saint-Malo, Energy Observer arrived in Cherbourg!
Both a port of call for the world’s largest cruise ships on the transatlantic route and a fishing, yachting, commercial and military harbour, Cherbourg is a city that is resolutely turned towards the sea and located in a department that is a pioneer in the field of energy transition. Aware of its social and environmental responsibility and its potential in the field of marine renewable energy, the department of La Mache has long since begun its environmental transition by turning towards an innovative energy mix and hydrogen.
That is why Energy Observer chose Cherbourg as its third port of call on its Odyssey for the Future, to discover both the solutions implemented in this region and the people who are behind them.
