Baie du Marin, Martinique
Our ship is anchored in the Baie du Marin in the South of Martinique. A reduced crew is on board to supervise the maintenance operations and prepare the next part of the odyssey.
Coming from: Fort-de-France, Martinique
Weather conditions: Rain
Time of arrival: 7:00 AM
A record number of tropical storms swept across our planet in 2020! Marin Jarry, second captain and director of armament, exchanges with Yann Amice, our meteorologist and a CCR expert as our ship was moved into a cyclone hole to remain sheltered during the hurricane season.
Heading to Guadeloupe
After a few weeks at anchorage, Energy Observer finally left Martinique under a threatening sky.
Our program was reviewed in the light of the latest governmental news: our ship set sail for Guadeloupe, where the conditions are more flexible and allow us to continue our Odyssey, documenting solutions to accelerate energy transition and to protect biodiversity.
